About us

Every money app treats you like an American with a credit score.

The categories assume a 401k. The "budget" assumes a paycheck that lands on the 1st. The bank sync assumes your money lives in one account, not scattered across Maybank, TnG, GrabPay and three BNPL plans.

We got tired of translating our lives into someone else's app.

So we built Dooit, for ringgit, for e-wallets, for split mamak bills and SPayLater installments. For the way money actually moves here.

This page is what we believe. It's the stuff we won't break, even when it'd be easier to.

Our values

Our values spell DUIT.

Duit means money in Malay. That's not a gimmick: it ties what we believe straight to what we build.

D

D = Data ownership

Duit kau, hal kau.

Your data is yours. Full stop.

Privacy isn't a feature we added, it's where we started. Local-first by default. No bank logins. No data sold, ever. This is a promise backed by architecture, not copy: your money stays on your phone unless you choose to sync it.

U

U = Understanding

Semua orang berhak faham.

Understanding over gatekeeping.

Financial clarity has been quietly gatekept by complexity, tools built for people who already understand money. We refuse to hide it behind jargon. Dooit turns what you log into a clear picture: where it goes, what's coming, whether you're okay, for everyone, not just the already-fluent.

I

I = Incentives

Kau customer, bukan produk.

Advertisers don't pay us. You do.

No ad revenue. No engagement farming. No reason to keep you scrolling instead of in control. Because you pay for Dooit, our incentives point at your benefit, not an advertiser's. This is exactly why Dooit is a paid app, and why that's a feature, not a catch.

T

T = Truth

Jujur, walau pahit.

Comfort is overrated. Truth isn't.

We won't gamify overspending or bury the number that matters. If you're off track, Dooit tells you clearly and kindly, before the month ends instead of after. No sugarcoating, no manipulative streaks, no dark patterns. Confident, not soft.

A quick honest note

"We" is mostly me, a solo developer in Malaysia who got fed up with money apps that clearly weren't built for us.

That's not a disclaimer, it's the point. There's no investor asking me to sell your data. No growth team pushing dark patterns. Just one person who has to earn your trust the old-fashioned way, by making something genuinely worth paying for.

Dooit is small on purpose. That's exactly why these values are safe.
